Neeva, the Google-backed search engine, has announced that it will pivot to enterprise legalmatter management (LLMs), a move that can potentially signal a larger deal with cloud-based data platform Snowflake.
For the past several months, Neeva had been expanding its platform, most notably introducing its ‘Neeva Universal Search’ feature in June. The company had also been considering adding an enterprise LLM suite, along with a broader focus on enterprise customers.
The company’s decision to now add LLM to its platform is seen as a move towards a stronger partnership with Snowflake. Neeva will use Snowflake’s advanced technologies to develop enterprise LLMs for law firms. The use of Snowflake’s cloud technology would give Neeva the ability to develop secure, reliable, and comprehensive LLM products.
Neeva’s new LLM offering is expected to make it easier for law firms to keep up with their clients’ ever-evolving needs and requirements. It will also enable an unprecedented level of organization, which in turn could simplify the job of sorting, analyzing, and managing case documents and evidence.
“We are excited to help law firms securely access and manage their client data,” said Neeva CEO, Amit Singhal. “Our partnership with Snowflake will propel our mission to make the law firm industry more secure, organized, and intelligent.”
This pivot by Neeva is a significant move in the legal technology space, and could potentially signal a larger collaboration with Snowflake. If realized, a deal between the two could bring significant changes to the legal services market as a whole, and could have a far-reaching impact on several industries.
