Pirros Inc., an artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) software company specializing in the streamlining of building and infrastructure drawing sets, today announced it has secured a seed round of $2 million from major industry investors.
The company, founded in 2018 by CEO Rajen Pillay, sought the round of funding to develop and commercialize its suite of products. Pirros’ technology is an AI-driven platform that streamlines engineering and architectural drawing workflows for the building and infrastructure sectors.
This technology uses AI-driven automation and predictive analytics to improve quality and eliminate the need for lengthy sets of Civil and Structural drawings. The algorithm learns from user feedback in order to predict what types of drawings must be created and can also analyze data and images to automatically generate precise and detailed 2D and 3D models.
The seed round includes major investment from several high-profile industry groups, including the VC firm 8VC, the architecture firms HOK and SOM, the engineering firm WSP, and the infrastructure firm AECOM.
Pirros CEO Rajen Pillay commented, “We are exceptionally proud to have secured this round of funding and that our technology is being embraced in the construction and infrastructure sectors. We are convinced this AI-enabled platform will revolutionize the design and drawing process for all industries related to engineering and architecture.”
Moving forward, Pirros Inc. intends to apply its AI-driven technology to additional problem areas related to the design and building of infrastructure and buildings in the near future. With this funding, the company expects to multiply its staff roster and to substantially expand its business operations.
