As technology advances, businesses and organizations are turning to automated tools powered by artificial intelligence (AI) for increased efficiency and accuracy. According to a new study, the current trend is the growing adoption of generative AI, which is a particular class of AI that produces creative output. While generative AI is gaining traction among enterprise users, the survey reveals some key areas where business leaders remain wary of potential risks.

In the survey conducted by Nanonets, an AI- and computer vision-based software provider, close to two-thirds (62 percent) of enterprise users reported that their organizations are already using generative AI or have plans to do so in the near future. However, about half of the users acknowledged that their company is in the early stages of implementing this technology.

By using generative AI, organizations are able to gain an edge when it comes to quickly rolling out personalized content as well as streamlining processes. This sort of automated creativity has opened up various possibilities, ranging from logo design, image and video generation, and more.

Despite its potential, the survey found that business leaders remain concerned about the safety of using the technology, as well as ethical considerations. Around two-thirds of business leaders (68 percent) reported that they are worried about the implications of AI-generated content, with close to half of them (49 percent) being hesitant due to a lack of understanding of the technology. Unsurprisingly, this lack of confidence has caused a considerable number of enterprises (47 percent) to pause the implementation of generative AI.

The survey findings suggest that while the adoption of generative AI is on the rise, businesses need to ensure clear policies and processes are in place to make sure ethical considerations are taken into account. Moreover, enterprises need to educate their teams to ensure that the technology is used correctly and efficiently.

Overall, the survey provides valuable insights into the enterprise use of generative AI and the various concerns that come with it. As AI continues to revolutionize the way businesses operate, it is essential for organizations to have a clear understanding of the technology, taking into account both the potential advantages and any potential risks.
