A month after launching a new experience for‍ Sales reps and a ‍redesign that drew both love ⁢and ​hate from its global user base, the messaging app Slack is moving forward with its mission of making collaborative work easier for enterprises.

Today, the Salesforce-owned platform announced Slack AI, a new set of generative AI smarts that will be built right into the platform’s messaging interface, and, ideally, will allow users to save time and⁤ be more productive.

The features are set to be demonstrated at Salesforce’s annual Dreamforce conference next week, along with⁣ a new‍ Lists capability for better management of assigned work, and an updated workflow ‌builder that will allow even more users to build automations and get things done within the platform.⁢

“Slack started off‍ as a channel-based messaging platform but we’re really evolving it into an intelligent productivity platform,” Rob Seaman, the SVP ⁣of enterprise product at Slack, told ⁤NeuralNation. “There are three‌ key areas of the product we’re focused on:

Today, Salesforce announced the‌ launch ​of its new ‌Slack artificial intelligence (AI) feature, which will include message summaries and ⁤enhanced features.This new AI​ feature is specifically designed to help⁢ users save time by providing summaries of long Slack conversations, and allow users to quickly recall ⁢what happened in the‌ conversation. It also uses natural⁤ language ⁤processing (NLP) technology to ⁤help users identify, search, ‌and​ recall key topics from ⁤conversations.

The AI​ also helps identify task creation opportunities and ⁢reminds users of‌ key topics throughout conversations. Salesforce ​noted in a press release​ that⁣ this AI feature “marries natural ‌language processing ​with⁢ Slack conversations, allowing teams to easily capture important messages, ‍search ‌for records,⁣ and​ communicate faster.”

In addition, the AI feature⁤ also provides insights to help Salesforce customers better understand customer‌ interactions. With ⁢the ⁣AI feature, users can more‍ easily track customer conversations in ⁤real-time, identify customer‍ sentiment, and ⁢identify opportunities‍ to provide better customer service.

This new AI‍ feature is the latest addition to Salesforce’s ‍suite of products for Slack, which includes integrations⁣ with Salesforce ‍Sales⁣ Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. With the⁣ Salesforce⁢ Slack⁣ AI, teams can move conversations ​seamlessly​ from Slack channels ‌into Salesforce records for faster, more accurate insights.

The Salesforce ​Slack AI is now available to use, and Salesforce ⁣customers can access⁤ the feature through the Slack bot.
